CRC 1119 CROSSING
Collaborative Research Center 1119

Funding: DFG, 10/2014-06/2026

Background: “Collaborative Research Centres (CRCs) are institutions established at universities for a period of up to 12 years that enable researchers to pursue an outstanding research programme, crossing the boundaries of disciplines, institutes, departments and faculties. They facilitate scientifically ambitious, complex, long-term research by concentrating and coordinating the resources available at a university.” (DFG, German Research Foundation)

Content: The goal of the Collaborative Research Center CROSSING is to provide cryptography-based security solutions enabling trust in new and next generation computing environments. The solutions will meet the efficiency and security requirements of the new environments and will have sound implementations. They will be easy to use for developers, administrators, and end users of IT, even if they are not cryptography experts. In CROSSING researchers from complementary areas such as cryptography, software engineering, and usability will achieve this goal in a collaborative effort.

Project partners: Research groups TU Darmstadt.

Funded Members: Patrick Harasser, Felix Rohrbach, Dr. Shan Chen.
